OUR HOUSE

“Men shape buildings; then buildings shape men.” One of the first impressions one gets of Sigma Phi is of our dramatic 1933 home at One Forest Park Lane on West Campus. The exquisite wood paneling, period furnishings, cork floors, and stained glass windows convey the nobility of Sigma Phi and acknowledge its historic roots and legacy.

Ezra slept here! The current home stands atop the foundation of Ezra Cornell’s homestead. A wall from Ezra’s stable in the basement is a reminder of this origin. Generations of Cornell-trained architects, alumni leadership, and generous alumni donors have ensured that our home at Cornell remains beautiful and functional.

In addition to the traditional residential spaces, Sigma Phi includes a library, a private two-room guest suite, card room, sitting room, squash court, and spacious back porch facing the Ithaca sunsets.
